1. "We would have happier pastors and healthier congregations if pastors attended "Emotional Intelligence and Human Relations" and put their learnings into daily practice."

  1. I will always be grateful for the time we shared together and I have no doubt I will be processing learnings from this experience for years to come! Thank you so much for giving your time to spend with us – I have been changed For Good.

  1. I found the Emotional Intelligence survey very helpful and I felt gave a picture of myself that I understood and could create goals to work on based on the feedback.

  1. Overall, the workshop was an amazing experience, unlike any other I've had.  The EQ work--especially for clergy--is crucial, just crucial.  I feel lucky to have been invited to participate.

  1. I have sensed a small, but significant change in my response/attitude to situations.  I really think I have started to observe myself even when I engage in conversation with others.  It helps me have a blink of a moment for stepping back and checking the other’s emotion/status/condition.  Definitely it lowers my anxiety.

  1. One of the best continuing education events I have ever attended.

  1. I have so many thank yous. This course was a summer shaper and I realize how vital it is for a chaplain to care how they are received. I may know where I am coming from. It matters where others are coming from and just how their vessels are shaped – what they at any given time are capable of receiving of you. . . relationship.

  1. I am grateful to have been a part of this learning.  It is already informing and changing my ministry.  Having the partners was a very useful thing – it helped to create accountability and increased my personal insight.  The morning body work was a great habit to begin, and I’m still doing it.  Free time was really only 1½ hours a day because of our meetings with our partners – just another ½ hour would have been helpful for me as an introvert.  Other people were journaling – I was wondering when they found the time!  Thank you for this opportunity!

  1. I highly commend the (my) Seminary for offering this class as an option, as I see this work as being exceedingly helpful in parish counseling, parish committee work, and in how a Pastor successfully leads and demonstrates effective and healthy ministry.
